Registered Nurse Job Description
We are offering a unique opportunity for a holistically minded Registered Nurse to work in our growing, independent Integrative Medicine practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people, has a growth mindset, and is able to juggle multiple
things at once while paying attention to the details. Our ideal candidate is able to work well both independently and as part of a team and possesses strong written and oral communication skills while delivering excellent patient care.
Your Role
Responsibilities, Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, team members and physicians. Ability to take initiative and work collaboratively with others.
Serve as the point person for medication management, including but not limited to, orders, refills, reconciliation, and patient check-ins.
Monitor patient progress and communicate clinical updates to providers.
Serve as the primary contact for patients between appointments and guide patients to the most effective ways of getting their questions answered and medical needs met.
Supervise and manage Medical Assistants.
Recognize symptoms, drug properties and interactions, treatments, and preventive health-care measures within the scope of practice.
Complete preoperative clearances and other necessary forms and documents.
Review and assist patients with care plan implementation and clinical follow-through.
Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations.
Use electronic systems effectively, including computers, electronic medical records systems, phone, fax, and email.
Complete prior authorizations for medications and imaging.
Help maintain clinical protocols, safety standards, and quality of care.
Phlebotomy and IV skills are a plus.
Who You Are
A licensed RN with strong clinical skills and sound judgment.
Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating closely with providers.
Compassionate, calm, and confident in patient-facing clinical conversations.
Curious and open to integrative and lifestyle-based medicine.
Organized enough to coordinate care, but happiest when doing clinical work.
Qualifications
Active RN license (required).
2+ years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
Experience in outpatient, primary care, or integrative medicine is a plus.
IV therapy, infusion, or procedural experience is a plus.
Strong patient education and communication skills.
